Introducing: The Ad Group AdBlog
When I first began development on the redesigned Ad Group website back in January, I opted against Wordpress integration. Having a Content Management System based site has plenty of its advantages, however I didn’t want the constant headaches that come from CMS troubleshooting. The old flashed based site wasn’t cutting it for the search engines, which is why we wanted to get a new site off the ground as soon as possible.
Fast forward to early last month, when a beautifully evolved, redesigned Ad Group Online was launched. Included were new and trendy technologies like jQuery’s (a Javascript library) Fancybox, which allow seamless presentation of images, videos, and/or sound. In other words, a great way to show off your stuff without the longer load times and choppy animations because of your outdated version of Flash. Another significant upgrade for the website is the transformation from a table based layout to using Cascading Style Sheets. For those of you familiar with web standards, we all know that’s a huge plus. Though, with all of these new additions, the website was still lacking something. Something that required more than the static dialogue throughout each page. A voice.
With that said, we’re proud to present, AdBlog, Ad Group’s very own blogging site.
